yay for friday! i'm excited for tomorrow cuz i get to shop and see a movie and have movie theater popcorn and fazoli's. this is all very exciting to me.

let's see...mtv movie awards...i'm way proud of reese witherspoon...and mandy moore. you know, i've been a mandy moore fan for sooo long. since before anyone knew who she was i had a website about her. course i gave up on that after awhile because i'm lazy, but still. so when i see her win something like that it makes me feel happy for her.

what was up with the panic room skit? that didn't amuse me very much. and i also have to comment on nicole kidman's fashion choice. it's the MTV movie awards, okay? you go casual or you wear something cute and fun...you don't wear a boring black pantsuit. just a thought. that was another thing - i was amazed at how few ugly outfits there were. i don't think i saw one that i thought was gross. except perhaps one of sarah michelle gellar's. but ya know, she wore a lot of outfits so at least one of them had to be nasty. i'm way jealous of the skirt kelly osbourne wore at the preshow...it had james dean all over it! the whole time the white stripes performed i sat looking at my TV with a perplexed expression on my face. that whole bit confused me a lot. but that's okay, who asked me?

today laura and i are going to go to MCC to get transfer things, as i probably mentioned yesterday. unfortunately we have no idea WHERE in MCC the place we're supposed to go is. it's all good. while we're out i think i might see if my film is back. after my last experience with film developing i'm not going to get my hopes up.

good afternoon. it's wednesday. today i filled out alllll my thank yous from graduation. and i washed the dishes. because since i did that my mom is going to take me to des moines this weekend to go shopping and see about a boy. la la la.

robert redford: one of hollywood's most ellusive superstars. sorry. i've been watching too much AMC. lex is whining. wow. paul newman is still alive. at least in this interview he is. he sounds like a smoker. blech. angie likes paul newman. she made me watch cat on a hot tin roof. that movie was interesting because it all took place in like 2 rooms. a lot of talking, not a lot of action. but i've seen worse movies, that's for sure.

lex is chewing on stuff. i wish he would sleep. i like it when lex sleeps because it makes my job easy. ho hum. i'm rather bored.

laura took me to see her shoe chair. there's this chair in the shape of a shoe at big lots that she's in love with. it's cute and all, but i'm not sure why she's so obsessed with it.

lex has decided he likes getting in the bathtub. he can hop in and out. it's really adorable. he has a hard time jumping onto my lap and yet he has no problem with the bathtub. he's such a goof.

hey! james dean was just on this ad for naked hollywood. lol i laugh. hmm. why does lex keep whining? he was just outside...now he's eating carpet...what a handful.

haaa bruce willis was an extra in the verdict. see, you can get the joys of AMC without ever watching it just by reading my blog! blah. i'm going to go now. because i know you really don't care about the verdict.

okay, i recently uncovered the winners of the mtv movies awards (not like it was tough) so if you don't care to know as of yet, you might want to skip this post. i'm going to rant and rave a bit.

okay, number one: lord of the rings won best movie. i honestly don't remember the nominees but i bet that's what i voted for so it's all good. i am a bit disappointed that ewan mcgregor & nicole kidman didn't win best kiss. what's up with mtv viewers voting for same sex kisses, anyway? on top of that...how's come nicole kidman always gets nominated for and wins for moulin rouge but ewan never does? what is that? he was WAY better than will smith was in ali. but as i mentioned before, i don't clearly remember the nominees so ewan might not have even been nominated. which would have been equally as irritating. but i agree completely with both the breakthrough performance awards: mandy moore for a walk to remember and orlando bloom for lord of the rings. i'm way excited to see orlando get his award. he makes me laugh. going back to moulin rouge...ewan & nicole DID win best musical performance or some such thing so i guess that's okay. heck, pearl harbor won best action sequence. who woulda thought? okay, i'm leaving now. for the moment. ;)

here it is, another dreary morning in the lovely state of iowa. i love my puppy and all but for the sake of summer i wish he was a bit more grown up. i can't really DO anything when i have to watch him all the time. i mean, if i want to leave i can put him in his lil' pen but when i'm at home i feel bad if i don't have him out and about. he cries when he's in his pen and he knows there are people home. however, when he's out i'm limited to doing a very small amount of things: watching tv, sitting in front of the computer, reading...that's about it. not that i have much else to do, it's just the concept. besides, after he chewed through my speaker wire yesterday (i got that fixed, by the way), i'm not all that excited about having him near my computer.

i think i might adventure out of the house to buy a magazine or something today. i have all this graduation $ that my mom is determined not to let me spend on anything but college books. i understand why, but since i don't really have a source of income that would have been nice to have for OTHER college-related stuff. like...dorm decorations. lol.

WHY IS AUDIOGALAXY GOING SO SLOW?! i hope it's just because of this song because i would be really unhappy if it suddenly took like four hours to download a song. i think i'll download kazaa just in case. ;)

hmm. well, i think after my mom comes home for lunch i'll pop in moulin rouge. i could watch that movie like 600 times and never get sick of it. i started writing a review for the sum of all fears but the plot is kinda complicated and i got sick of writing it so...who knows if i'll ever finish it. perhaps. the next interesting movie that comes out is minority report. emily and i are determined to find out why the heck it's called minority report.

yesterday i was telling my mom about the preview i saw for that new harrison ford movie and how i recognized a guy in it and i finally realized it was qui-gon jinn. i hardly recognized him without the jedi hair. my mom was like, "i recognize him a lot better without the hair. he was in nell." and all the sudden i had a revelation. i just watched that movie a couple months ago on tv and i figured the actor was well known but i didn't realized it was liam neeson. that's just crazy.

okay, i just have to mention the obvious: now that i have nothing to do all day except watch the puppy my blogs will become very lengthy and appear much more often. sometimes several times a day.

i should transfer all my website stuff to this computer and download ftp & paintshop so i can work on the site on this computer. that would probably be good. i could post all the pages i haven't had time to work on. i really want to have ALL my stuff from the other computer on here but that would take an eternity to move. i'll just take the important stuff and tell my mom not to delete my stuff in case i want something later. oh blah. lex ran off into the other room, i better go track him down.

YAY. i finally remembered my blogger password so i could update from my new computer. go me.

i just learned that audrey hepburn fans were unhappy that jennifer love hewitt was cast as her in a tv movie. they would have preferred natalie portman or calista flockhart. not that you care. i'm watching the much more movie thingy on AMC for breakfast at tiffany's. mostly because i have nothing much else to do. that's a lie. actually, i'd rather be reading my new book or perhaps picking up some party stuff from yesterday. HOWEVER, i'm going to wait until my dad comes home and can watch the puppy before i do that.

so let's see...it's been a few days since i blogged. my mom decided to be sneaky and the other day a brand new dell computer showed up at my house and i was surprised. pleasantly though. but today lex chewed through the cord on the speakers so i can't listen to anything until it gets fixed. i wasn't very happy with lex when he did that.

yesterday was graduation...which was predictably long and boring. not quite as bad as graduation rehearsal though. so now i don't really have anything to do. ever. lol. the next thing i really HAVE to do is orientation at u of i and that's not until july. so...i guess i'll be doing a whole lotta nothing this summer. but that's nothing new. i actually enjoy it. there are some fun movies coming out soon. and now i can spend lots of time doing stupid things that i couldn't do during school because i had no time. like...this. lol. yeah. i'm gonna go have a piece of cake.

good news - i got my housing notice from U of I today and we got a room in mayflower! yay! now i just have to find out if stacie & laura are in the adjoining room. buuut laura is babysitting and stacie is at work until 5 so i dunno when i'll figure that out.

i think we're going to have a josh night tomorrow since black hawk down comes out. emily said that k-mart will give it to me for $15.99 if i bring in the best buy ad that i saw...price matching or some such thing...i do believe i will take advantage of that because there isn't a best buy in marshalltown and 4 bucks is 4 bucks, right? that's, like, a whole magazine. lol...i wonder if i'm supposed to tell kelsey about josh night. i told her a long time ago it would be june 11 but i bet she forgot. hmm. well, we'll see. i think we're going to use the josh cookies idea - we're going to use the gingerbread man cookie cutter thingy and then decorate them like josh.

nothing much going on today. i slept a bit. watched most of mission: impossible for lack of anything else to do. filled out my application...but i realized i never finished filling in my social security number. i'm sure they'll REALLY want me when they see that. ;)

now that we know where we're living, i need to talk to courtney about who's bringing what and things like that.

my neck is really sore today and i don't know why. lex is being good. sleeping, as usual. he doesn't get hyper until my mom gets home. at least if i'm lucky he doesn't.

i'm hungry. today i've had a blueberry muffin and a granola bar. my mom came home with food for HERSELF at lunch. but me? nope. i don't get any food. i just like to whine. not that there's anything to eat here. i was thinking i might try to hunt down some vanilla pear yogurt but i bet it's all gone. i put all this stuff on the grocery list but apparently last time my mom went to the store she didn't take the list because nothing i wrote down is here and the list is still hanging on the refrigerator.

there are tons of movies coming out tomorrow. i'll be renting 3 and buying 1, i believe. good thing they're 5 day rentals and i have no life so i'll be able to get through them all. if you don't go in the day they come out, they're all gone and you can't rent them for 5 days. it's the video rental science. yesterday i realized that hollywood video doesn't have donnie darko. what is THAT? i love that movie!

i was going to start a new section on here for weekly movie recommendations. i still will, most likely...but i need to download cute ftp or do it on the other computer. hmm. maybe i'll download that NOW and get it over with.

as you can probably tell, i changed the layout. there could be some problems. if there are...sorry. deal with it. so far everything seems to be working decently. that doesn't happen often.

i had graduation rehearsal this morning. it was extremely long and boring. they went through and had EVERYONE walk across the stage after we practiced SITTING DOWN for like an hour. i'm waiting for my mom to finish cleaning the carpet so we can go to wal-mart. she was like "i'm going to take a little nap before i finish the last room" and she's been sleeping forever. it's really getting irritating. but hey - gave me a chance to finish posting the layout, right?

i can't believe tomorrow is friday already. this week has gone really fast. which is good i guess, because i want all this irritating graduation stuff to be over as quickly as possible. i need to make a collage of myself. won't that be fun? that comes after the wal-mart trip though, because i need poster board and i need to pick up a roll of film.

i don't remember if i talked about laura inviting me to washington dc but...i didn't think i would be able to go because my mom wasn't about to pay for it, but laura says she thinks they're going to drive and that we would stay @ her sister's house so it wouldn't really be that expensive. i'll have to talk to my mom again. i really want to go cuz i've never been east. if we drove i'd get to see all sorts of places i've never been! i feel like i need to go *somewhere* this summer and that'd be a good place to go AND probably cheaper than anywhere else so i hope i get to go.

well, i've got everything uploaded now so i guess i'll go wait on my mom.
