okay i just made a new layout but then i decided i wasn't going to use it because it's a popup and i don't want ANOTHER pop...that'll be like 3 in a row. so i'll just have to make a different layout someday. it's all good, this one's only been up like a week.

i need the new issue of premiere. my sources say josh and ewan mcgregor are on the cover. that's always good. ohhh i bet it's a black hawk down promotion thing. i'm just a little slow sometimes. i'm way excited for that movie. i just find it rather ironic that 75% of the cast in a movie about US soldiers is like british and australian. but that's alright. they can't help it that they're cooler than all the american actors that tried out for their parts.

i was just watching the people's choice awards...yay for jennifer aniston, she won something...whatever it was. well, i think i'll go watch my tape of friends for the 500th time and then go to bed. ;)

ahhh i survived josh night. i was rather amused by SNL...especially the skit where they did the parody of george lucas talking about episode II with nsync dancing around and stuff...yeah. i thought josh did a good job. i'd freak out if I had to do that stuff with all those people staring at me. lol.

OHHH i have good news! after SNL i rewound my tape to watch it again and i went back a little too far...when i pressed play FRIENDS was on! somehow it taped!!! i don't know if my mom turned off my tv after it was over or what but it was there!!! it was like 12:30 and i was like trying not to scream like a teenybopper when i found out i could watch it. it was soooo cute!!!

well, laura has to work friday so we're just gonna go to the dance after she gets off (i think) and then go to black hawk down on saturday. i guess i can wait until saturday. ;)

i'm really frustrated because i downloaded a new mandy moore song called it's gonna be love from the a walk to remember soundtrack but that's the only one of her three new songs i can find...that doesn't make sense, if ONE is on morpheus all three should be since they all are on the same cd...i don't get it. oh well, on tuesday the cd will come out and i won't have any problem finding them.

i also downloaded a couple really cute remixes...the neptunes remix of emotion by destiny's child and an acoustic sort of thing of the coolest britney spears song ever, born to make you happy. i'll never get sick of that song.

wellll i don't have anything to do today. i did my spanish homework, go me. i need to return a couple videos. lindsey says i need to rent the story of us so i might look for that. i bet it's gone, though, because the lit of modern life or lit of conflict or lit of whatever class is watching it for some project or something.

my mom is @ the grocery store. that's always good. i like to have ohs. josh is going to be on letterman tomorrow! for positive! i was excited, his name was in the tv guide. and remy zero is the musical guest. i know a remy zero song...the smallville theme! lol. *somebody saaaaave me* sorry, i like to sing. i need to shut up but i don't have anything else to do! :(

The paragraph about trying to get a Mandy Moore song off Morpheus is basically perfect. I still love Mandy Moore, so I don't even find it as embarrassing as I probably should.

so i figure i'll go to bed pretty soon since i have nothing else to do. la la la. i need to make a new layout. i like this one but...i dunno. i just like to change stuff a lot. except my last layout cuz i lovvved that one. my dog is barking and growling for no apparent reason. she does that a lot. what can ya do?

It took me a while but I figured out "the lady from the y" is literally the lady who worked at the YMCA.

other than that bright note, i have had a nasty day. MY MOM TURNED OFF MY TV WHEN I HAD IT SET TO RECORD FRIENDS WHILE I WAS AT BATON!!!! normally i would be slightly upset, but i freaked out because i have had such a blah week and that was the ONE thing i was really looking forward to watching...and she screwed it all up. PLUS she didn't get my pictures from wal-mart like i asked.

at least tomorrow's friday. thank god. after once and again (which better have eli in it this week) laura and i are going to attempt the cake-baking...then saturday is josh night...yay for josh night! *i'm hungry and there is no food* oh well. just another icky thing about my day.

blogger's been screwed up so if my posts aren't working...grr.

why is it that i can EASILY find "it's gonna be love" by mandy moore (from a walk to remember) on morpheus but not "only hope" or "someday we'll know"??? it makes zero sense but whatever. on the bright side, those songs are both covers of songs i already know so it's not like they're brand new to me. the soundtrack comes out this tuesday...i think...yeah. i'll probably get it even though i have the majority of the songs already.

i have to go to baton again tonight. :( i don't know why but sandy decided that i need to come up on thursdays for no apparent reason. i think i'm just supposed to be teaching but she has alaina for that and i do wednesdays...so i'm confused. but whatever. i guess i'll just have to tape friends. which is sad, it's a new one tonight and i'll have to wait until tomorrow to see it.

i need to remember to have my camera when laura and i make a cake tomorrow and when we have josh night saturday. i think kelsey is coming to josh night. that'll be good fun.

wow...it's been like a couple days since i blogged. i gotta get on top of things! alright...well, first i would like to say thank you to mrs. wildt for letting those of us with 6th & 7th hour off leave spanish class early today. that was nice.

i went to the video store and rented halloween: h20 for josh night. laura hasn't seen it so we figured we'd watch it before saturday night live. ;) oh, i posted a review of a beautiful mind in movie reviews...yeah.

i slept a lot yesterday, that's why i didn't blog. there better be some decent stuff on tv tonight. last night i was stuck watching like 200 episodes of cribs. i don't even really like that show. they don't have a lot of good people on there.

blah to school...still 3 more days this week. oh lovely. sedated isn't working correctly at the moment. what? okay, something weird is going on with my browser. okay maybe not. there just happens to be something wrong with all the websites i'm trying to go to. that's dumb.

oh, i found the greatest smallville site...kryptonsite.com. there's all sorts of junk there and they have all the plots for upcoming episodes and whatnot. it's a good time. ;)

I expected Kryptonsite to still be around and it is - and now reporting on Supergirl!

yaaay! my beloved josh message board tells me that he will be hosting saturday night live on january 12. you know how CUTE that will be? it's always fun when people you totally go on there and host and do funny things you would never expect...um. yeah. so everyone's gonna watch, right?

wow. okay i woke up @ 4 this morning. haven't actually gone back to bed. i'm on the tired side. so today i'm going to a beautiful mind with emily and i have to work on my spanish speech. gotta have it memorized...but first i need to make my poster. blah to that. i hate speeches. i have to review the lord of the flies too cuz we have a plot quiz tomorrow. the weekend went so FAST, i hate that. i'm deathly sick of school and it just keeps going and going and going. blaaaaaaah.

yesterday i went to des moines con mi madre. got all sorts of fun stuff. some clothes here and there, some fun hair stuff and whatnot...we went to a theater we've never been to to see kate & leopold. it was a fun old theater. we're trying to go to all the theaters so we can decide which one will be the best to see star wars at. sad, i know. after that we managed to keep ourselves busy for another few hours...i dunno what we were doing, but we ended up with a dvd player. which makes me happy because i've been pushing for one for...a long time. it's just not the same to watch them on the computer. ;) *yawn* i hope i can get everything done today without falling asleep!

Whoo boy! Landmark DVD player purchasing day! Now what would I do with all my cheap movies from Hollywood Video and Hastings?

mtv.com is highly interesting today. first, nick gets arrested for arguing with some lady at a club and not stopping when the cops told him too. they weren't even there for HIM, he just happened to catch their attention. poor kid. then i read "nsync films cameos for episode II." granted, they're not even speaking parts (i don't think) but STILL. now they're even trying to ruin star wars! pah to nsync.

the other story i read was about christina aguilera having a new cd expected in june. that's a long way away. do you realize that will be almost 3 years after she released her first cd? come on, that's just not nice. gosh darn it nsync is going to sing at the winter olympics too. okay, i don't have a huge problem with nsync. i really don't. it's just that they're freakin' EVERYWHERE. i'm sick of seeing their ugly little faces!!!

okay what's up with the "can't fight the moonlight" remix that's been on the radio lately? did they re-release that song for some strange reason? cuz i dunno about you but i was singing it a year ago when it was on the radio and now...it's back. except it's being played on kiss and not just 106.7. so i'm confused. maybe i'll see if there's leann rimes news at mtv.com. hmm. she's not even on the bands list. that's dumb. maybe i will try her official website. LOL she's engaged? to some guy named dean? whatever. isn't she like 12? okay not 12 but she's not that much older than me. she's...19. that's awfully young to be getting married, wouldn't you say?

okay all i've learned here is that she's engaged and she has some agreement with curb records so she can release new music soon or something. that doesn't help me much. *sigh* oh well. i guess i'll have to find my information elsewhere.

well, i think i've successfully gotten the layout up. there might be some mismatched pages somewhere, but i'll deal with those when i find them. i have a ton of stuff i want to update but i don't know if i'll actually do it tonight.

today i talked to emily and she *does* want to see a beautiful mind with me. and elisabeth still thinks we should go to the lord of the rings and laugh at it. since we've both seen it i figure it's alright if we laugh at it once. so depending on when she wants to do that, i may have to pull another movie-a-day weekend.

soo...on monday we have a test over the lord of the flies. lovely. and we have spanish presentations next week. i have a sales test tomorrow. as always, i'm not concerned. i'm really happy tomorrow is friday. school is so blah. at least i don't have gym tomorrow. that's always a positive.

well. i think i'm done with all the junk i have to do on the site so i'm gonna go be lazy for a bit.

I'm thankful every day that I don't have gym.

oh my god like five people signed my guestbook in the last week! i'm excited. it's weird, a bunch of people sign it all at once then no one signs it for two months and so on.

i just got back from baton. i'm tired and hungry. i need some ohs. and i need to just sit down and not move for awhile. lol.

amy will enjoy this --- today i walked into the y for baton and matt was working and he decided it would be fun to say hi to me. he's SUCH a fruitcake, i'm telling ya. but i'm a nice person so i said hi back. i even tried to look cheery. ugh he gives me the creeps. anyway.

this weekend i have to make a poster for my spanish speech. yes, mrs. wildt thought it would be fun to give us a 100 point speech the first day back to school. you can't even imagine how happy i am that this is a short week. my mom agreed to go to kate & leopold saturday when we go to des moines. now i just have to convince someone that they need to see a beautiful mind with me friday or sunday. i'll have to take it up with emily. but now i am going to go eat before my stomach starts to consume its own tissue.

i have baton tonight. :( boo. i almost forgot about it. i keep forgetting today is wednesday...i have to go to school 10 minutes early on wednesdays because the schedule is different but it totally slipped my mind...i was barely on time as a result, cuz i left at the same time i usually do. two of my four teachers were gone...yay. hanson is gone all week.

nicole and i took the digital cameras to get some lovely pictures for the portraits division page. hopefully at least a couple of them will work.

my contacts were being mean this morning. they kept popping out for no reason. it was upsetting me. speaking of nicole, she told me my eyes looked like watermelons. it was funny. i did some strange eyeshadow stuff today so i know what she means but the way she said it made me laugh.

it's a good thing i slept till 11 or i would have a lot more hours to be bored. actually i've been doing okay today...went out to the video store and fun stuff like that. oh, i took ginger for a walk. this black dog was following us and she kept trying to protect me when the black dog would come and sniff my leg. it was funny because ginger doesn't look like the most menacing thing ever but she can be rather scary when you get her going.

icq won't minimize. this is bad because i can't see all of the blogger window. so if i make a mistake - i probably won't be able to see it so you're gonna have to deal with it.

i was excited, hollywood had heartbreakers on sale for $5. works for me. i've gotten so many cheap movies this week. today i saw robbie williams on cribs. i've seen it before but it's always fun to watch robbie williams. that guy cracks me up...granted, he's a little on the um...i can't even think of a word to describe it...uninhibited, crude, egotistical...lol. but somehow he manages to be like that and still seem decent. i love that song he does with kylie minogue...kids...where he's talking about sean connery and whatnot and then he's like rapping...it is the cutest thing ever. ANYWAY i'm going to go attempt to download some songs.

yay. i just got back from laura's new year's party. it was pretty amusing. it's fun to watch tim's subtle attempts at hitting on laura. ha.

omg it's sooo cold out...i had my contacts case thingy in my purse and it was so cold that during the car ride home the solution inside FROZE! that's just crazy. but anyway.

today i went to des moines with my mom and my brother. didn't get anything, but it was something to do.

i hate staying up this late, it throws me off. i don't like being thrown off. and it's really icky that technically i have to go to school tomorrow. :( boo. i'm enjoying not having school. *surprise, surprise* no one's on icq. i don't know why i'm not tired. actually the problem is i'm so tired that i'm hyper. happens to me often. i haven't eaten in like 12 hours, i'm so hungry my stomach hurts. but there's nothing to eat so i probably won't. ;)

tonight beth poked herself in the eye and her contact popped out. it was fun. i want my twizzlers but they're upstairs where it's cold and i don't like being cold.

i got all the lord of the rings books. i was afraid i wouldn't like them just because of the way they're written but i started the hobbit and i'm doing okay with the language and whatnot. i'm already on page 17! lol it takes me a bit to get into books so that's quite the accomplishment. alright i gotta stop talking.

I can't imagine being awake at 3:40am. This is probably the last time I celebrated New Year's.

so yeah, i don't have anything else to do while it downloads so i'm gonna blog. yahoo. my mom didn't wake me up @ 7 this morning and try to make me go to oskaloosa with her. wonder why. oh well, i'm not complaining.

yesterday i went to the mall to buy an aaron carter t-shirt...they are SO cute and i wanted like a kids' medium so it would fit me like my american eagle t-shirts i like but all they had were large and those were too big for the fit i wanted. :( i'll have to look at the sam goody @ merle hay when i go to des moines next weekend.

while i was at the mall i visited laura at work...she decided to have a new year's party and i'm supposed to be inviting people. it's hard, there's nobody around...but what can ya do.

i want to get a book but i don't know what's good. oh, i went back to hastings and got a couple more cheap movies yesterday too. oh, and i found my morpheus twin! it was so freaky, she had like the exact same songs i do. i just saw the episode of friends where joey finds his hand twin so that's the source of my terminology.

speaking of, there's a new episode of friends on next week! that makes me way happy. i'm sick of reruns. i have to wait until january 18 or something for a new episode of smallville. thankyouverymuch, winter hiatus.

but yeah, the AFI awards are on next saturday. i might watch...it's just one of the crazy awards shows that's not cool enough to be the golden globes or the oscars. so i dunno if it's worth it. you know what would be awesome...i saw someone mention this on their website and i agreed completely...if ewan mcgregor & nicole kidman performed "come what may" at one of the above mentioned award shows. it's a given nomination for best original song...and i know that at least ewan likes singing live...that would be the cutest thing ever.

hello hello. yesterday shannon called and we amused ourselves by going to the mall for a bit. my star wars calendar was 50% off so i got it. it's so cute, it has these flip animation things where you can watch jabba the hutt's ship on tatooine explode and luke & darth vader's lightsaber fight and an imperial cruiser getting shot at and a pod race...it's fun! then we went to hasting's just cuz neither of us have been there for a long time and we wanted to see what they had. they had a bunch of $6 videos so i got dick and center stage. i probably would have found more but shannon had to be home by 6 so i was feeling hurried and i couldn't look thoroughly.

today is a lovely saturday. nothing interesting going on, as usual. no clue what i'll do to entertain myself. i need to talk to laura sometime, i think she's got it in her head that she needs to have a new year's party so i should probably lend my support to her cause. i'm going to go print out my legolas pictures for my locker lol.

That calendar sounds legit amazing.

what is mallory going to do today? she's going to attempt to become motivated enough to go to wal-mart in the icky coldness and get the new no doubt cd. then i will probably watch a movie or two cuz i have nothing else to do.

yesterday the eye doctor thought it would be fun to dilate my eyes. i've never had it done before, it was kinda trippy. i don't like having huge pupils though, i look like a zombie. so anyway...that was the fun thing i did yesterday.

eventually i need to cut up the new layout for this site (moulin rouge!) and post it. but i don't really want to. i want to do something easier so i don't have to deal with that for another month or so. but i'm impaired when it comes to using my graphics program so nothing looks as cool as it should anyway.

i'm upset because there are all these no doubt songs on morpheus but they're just like clips playing over and over so close that you can't even tell so you think the song is just REALLY repetitive until you figure out what's going on. it's driving me crazy cuz it makes it really hard to find the real song. well, i'm going to go attempt to fashion an easy layout.

Firsthand frustration from those times you'd spend hours downloading a song on, um, MORPHEUS, and it would just be a clip on repeat = amazing.

i just got back from my second viewing of the lord of the rings. it was annoying...the first time i was really impatient and this time i wasn't so it was easier to sit through but i already knew what was going to happen so...yeah.

ARGH! i just did this nice long blog and then my other browser window froze so i had to close them and i copied my blog so i could post it after i re-opened explorer but IT'S NOT PASTING!!!! grr.

well, let's see. i talked about my trip to des moines yesterday with my dad and how the only place he can find is the health food store and i had to use my superb sense of direction to find a best buy.

then i talked about nightwatch and how it was a total guilty pleasure that everyone should watch.

hmm. oh yeah, then i comlained about my eye appointment because i lost one of my trial contacts yesterday. i think that about covers it.

OH and i said cranky didn't like ali, which was good because i don't really want to see it anyway. yeah, that was all.

so. today i don't have a whole lot to do. until my eye appointment. i need to go to wal-mart and get my pictures. they BETTER be back by now.

i didn't know ryan phillippe was in gosford park. the things you learn at cranky's site are amazing. i wonder if cranky reviewed nightwatch. hehe i'll have to look.

i had an icky headache yesterday, i'm glad it's gone. so far anyway. i really need to go to the movie theater. see SOMETHING. there's so much junk out these days. wow. i just read a pretty detailed plot outline for attack of the clones. i haven't been able to find much about it at all, who knew it was as easy as looking on amazon.com? okay...see, anakin and obi-wan have to protect senator amidala because people keep trying to kill her. it can be assumed that this is connected to the movement against the republic. chancellor palpatine (yeah, he's bad) and darth tyranus are all about controlling the galaxy so they do bad things. anakin is assigned the job of protecting amidala and obi-wan is sent to investigate a strange clue. there are all sorts of fun action sequences...anakin & obi-wan chasing an assassin through the air traffic of coruscant, obi-wan battling jango fett, a big final battle with an army of jedi against battle droids and clonetroopers...oh, and a lightsaber battle where obi-wan & anakin fight darth tyranus. yoda gets to fight too! won't that be hilarious?! and anakin's mommy dies. :( poor kid. he retaliates against the sand people and you can see the EVVVVVIL. hehe. sorry. i'm excited. now i know the plot!

it amazes me how much i can sleep. i seriously went to bed at like 9:30 last night and i slept till 10. how do i DO that? it is now 11:44 and i'll i've done today is watch a christmas story. i figure twice in a week is plenty, right?

i don't know what i'll do now. my mom says the movies start at 4. i wonder if that's a subtle hint that she wants to go to the movies. sounds good to me. the only thing that's in town that i want to see is lord of the rings and i thought my mom wanted to go to the cool theater in des moines to see it, but i could be wrong...whatever.

i'd like to go to des moines and get a mocha ice since there is apparently a conspiracy against me having them. what is it with these conspiracies against me? what did i ever do to deserve this?

what on EARTH is my dad listening to? chants or something? i'm frightened.

yesterday i saw an ad for black hawk down that i haven't seen before. i don't really see many ads anymore. it's amazing, you'd *think* all i do is watch tv but it's not true. the majority of what i watch is on the wb and they show like 3 commercials over and over again. i just happened to flip to "buzzworthy and beyond" on mtv and that was one of the commercials. which reminds me, isn't mandy moore on the regis & kelly thing this morning? eh, it's probably over by now. i guess i'll go see when the movies are on...

golden globe nominees have been announced! click here for the full article. in case you are lost, the golden globes are usually a good way to predict what will happen as far as oscar nominees and winners. there are still several movies that haven't been released yet ("ali" and "black hawk down," for example) that might do better after they've reached an audience since neither of them got a whole lot of golden globe attention. um yeah. just read the article. i'm excited for moulin rouge - six nominations! that's a great movie. oh, and reese witherspoon and legally blonde got nominations...i think that's really cool since a lot of times the comedies don't get much attention.

ratingzone.com. fun times. it's like amazon.com recommendations except cooler because it doesn't recommend 600 christina aguilera singles if you say you like her CD. it is a little annoying to navigate, but you get used to it.

apparently my dad has it in his head that he wants a gamecube. he wants to spend his christmas money from my grandma on it. lol. i wouldn't mind having one, i could play rogue squadron! speaking of, my mom just uncovered a bunch of star wars band-aids that were hiding in the closet.

but yeah, i decided i need a new cd so i'm asking the ratingzone to tell me what to get. i'm a little tired. boo. i slept quite a bit last night. not 12 hours or anything, but still. my mom had lord of the rings-related nightmares. the only movie i've seen that i'm sure has been the source of a bad dream was braveheart. the end of that movie was soooo evil! hmm. i need to get away from the computer.

i'm extremely tired. i haven't had ANY time to sit around and be lazy in the past 48 hours. too much to do. i just got back from lord of the rings a bit ago. it was really good, but i started to get really irritated about 3/4 of the way through...i just wasn't in a movie-watching mood and it was starting to drag and the people behind me were loud and my mom kept telling me dumb stuff from the book that i didn't want to hear about while i was trying to watch and it was just not a happy thing. plus the ending made me say "what?" cuz um...there wasn't really an ending. i guess that's so you come back next year or something. but anyway, i'm going to have to see it again when i'm more into the movie thing. right now i'm just tired and hungry. but for whatever reason, i don't want to go to bed.

on a happier note, i don't have to go back to school now for many days. that will be good. today in gym we watched the french kid play ping pong and it was fun because he'd get really into it and start saying funny things with his french accent and it just made us all laugh. other than that...didn't really do a whole lot today. well, until after school. we had our mall performance...hey, i didn't drop my baton. but who really cares. i'm just glad it's over. the highlight was seeing adam run in with his hair sticking straight up. i guess jaime would have slaughtered him if he didn't show up so he came right after swimming was over and he didn't have time to wash his hair so...yeah. that made me laugh. but now i'm just tired so...goodbye!

it amazes me that i NEVER get email. in a sad sort of way.

well...only 3 more days of school left. which is way too many, if you ask me. i would like to thank mr. laville for letting us watch a movie in english this week. granted, we have to write an ESSAY friday...but still, it's better than other things we could be doing.

i rented moulin rouge today and i thought it was really really good, actually. so...yay! lol. i got to see a rerun of gilmore girls with tristin. i feel sorry for him, he can't help it that he's emotionally unstable because of his parents and therefore is a huge jerk. huge jerks have feelings too. also saw a bit of undeclared. i'm not really into the fraternity thing so this episode didn't thrill me as much as some of the others. on the other hand, tonight's that '70s show was superb.

speaking of...i am contemplating the fate of that '80s show. on one hand, it has the same writers as that '70s show so it should be funny...but can you really have two shows that are basically the same except with different hairdos? i'm not sure. i guess i'll have to watch and find out, eh?

well...i tried to do the pink hair thing. it doesn't show up very well. i need to do more. AGAIN. i'm going to run out. i was trying to get the highlights to come from the bottom layer but it doesn't work quite the way i was hoping. oh well.

today was all sorts of fun. i took a crazy test in english...oh, and i found out i have to memorize a thing for spanish that we're presenting tomorrow...whatever.

hmm i joined a couple cliques today...i really need to think of something fun to do on the site cuz i haven't been doing much in terms of updating. eh, oh well.

today after the excitement of finding a double bladed darth maul lightsaber on ebay i was roped into shopping with my mom. not fun shopping. grocery shopping. ugh. but i *did* get dark forces II out of the deal. now i can find all the cheat codes and win the whole game in one day. actually i can't play it for extended periods of time, it gives me a headache. well, just about any computer game does i suppose.

today i got $ in the mail from my grandma...before i even *saw* the check my mom grabbed it and was like "i'll give it to you after you write your thank you note" and went and hid it somewhere. she's such a freak sometimes. i'm going to go fall asleep or some such thing.

I THINK "cliques" were an online community of some kind; this wasn't some kind of bizarre Mean Girls ritual.

To this day I'm sad about Dark Forces giving me a headache.

remember the life as a house conspiracy? it continues. after going through mounds of troubles trying to see it like a month and a half ago, guess what movie is in town? life as a house. yep. isn't that the most evil thing ever? i thought SURELY by this point it was too late for it to come but nooo it's here. crazy movie theater.

i don't really have anything to do today. that's always fun. i wonder when laura's dance thing will be over. i *think* it's in the afternoon...but i might be wrong. it would be sad if it was at night cuz then we couldn't do anything fun. my mom and i were hoping the sneak preview of kate & leopold would be in town tonight but i don't have the slightest clue how i would find out. it's not on the website, though, so i'm assuming it's not around.

strange things happened at school today. mr. haigh, the physics teacher, disappeared. well, he called in sick. but it was weird because his room is usually covered in posters but they were all torn down...like, the tape was still on the wall...and his speakers and audio equipment were gone...it was like he quit or something. mrs. wildt thought maybe he got fired but they give you like a week to leave when they fire you...vini says he was having trouble with a student and administration got involved so maybe that had something to do with it. who knows. it's all rather strange, if you ask me.

so...it's friday. i'm not doing anything. my usual partner in crime (laura) has a dress rehearsal or something. i'm okay though. i really just want to stay home and watch once and again. besides, vanilla sky isn't in town. i don't know what i'll do until 9 though.

i need to reread my short stories for the AP test on monday. okay, mr. laville gives us tests mrs. martin wrote and HE can't even pass them. how does he expect us to? i *think* it's curved. hopefully. but yeah, i have to read 9 dumb short stories so i can remember them. i'm already bored. ho hum. in sales jack brought all these snacks and just kinda tossed them on our desks. i had a lot of food to give away after that class. blah to being bored.

blah to baton. i don't feel like going. well, i don't mind MY class...i don't even mind the junior class...but the beginners make my head ache.

i was mighty ambitious and i did my magazine review already. i usually don't do them until thursday night. and i read our LAST short story. it was really messed up. i SO did not get the point. people try TOOOO hard to be deep and thoughtful. just make your point already!

my dad is listening to really bad music while he does the dishes and i am attempting to drown it out. *but i gotta kn-kn-kn-know what's your fantasy* let's see.

ooh, megan informed me that lifetime has once and again reruns...they show the previous week's epsiode on friday nights at 10. that makes me happy, considering how mad i am for missing last week's. now i can see it! ho hum. i need to remember to tell my mom to develop my pictures. well, nothing is really going on so i'm just gonna go be bored for a bit.

you know, i was talking about how no authority and five are underrated...so is blaque. sure, they have a terrible name and the whole "believe...life...everything" blah blah blah that they made up is dumb but they have some really good songs. for reals.

let's see. today i went to ap and listened to mr. laville blab about archetypes. he told me he liked my belt. it scared me. my belt is all glittery and stuff. anyway. oops. i forgot to bring home the story we were supposed to read tonight. i guess we don't have to have it done until thursday so i'm good. uhm. then i went to yearbook and alphabetized senior pictures. in sales we took a test and we got to use our review sheets...at lunch megan made me wish i would have taped once and again last friday...in spanish we did a really easy assignment...and in gym we dodged ping pong balls and laughed at the gym teachers' mix of music. it was amusing. everything from walk like an egyptian to faded.

i need to burn the alicia keys cd for amy. then i'm going to find something to do until friends time. i'm excited, i love tuesday night tv. gilmore girls looks adorable and smallville is always good. 8 days of school left. ho hum.

next week i have an eye appointment so i can get new contacts. i am in great need. i've been going without them. that's probably not great for my eyes. ooh, i know what i can do before friends! i can finish this boy's life. i SWEAR i've seen it before but i can only remember like 2 scenes and i haven't gotten to them yet so i'm afraid i'm thinking of a DIFFERENT movie and it will bother me because i won't be able to figure out what THAT movie is. you know what i mean? i like to be on top of things.

LOL as soon as i say nobody ever signs my guestbook like 5 people do. that was kinda fun, i forgot i wrote that and then i went to look at my guestbook and i was like "wow...lots!" hehe.

i had a slightly eventful weekend. i kept busy. went to the dance friday (wasn't all that thrilling), went to kraig's party saturday (more thrilling than one might assume) and went to see ocean's eleven yesterday (not as thrilling as one might assume.) okay, i liked it...but it wasn't my favorite movie ever or anything. i did watch an awfully cute movie on video though - sense and sensiblity.

brrr. it's cold in this room. but anyway. today in yearbook laura and i were checking off senior pictures we've gotten and we went through the package from wayne's and guess what... mallory's picture is not there! i am upset. he sent some girl we've never seen before but not ME. i had to call and complain but i talked to his wife and she was like "i'll check the records" blah blah blah i doubt she will. i wonder if my mom called and ordered more wallets for me. probably not. she's mighty forgetful.

today i got my first issue of my movieline subscription. it has hayden in it. not much. just a picture in the x and y files.

my mom got these really yummy starbucks frozen frappuccino things the other day. there are only 4 in a box, what a ripoff. fortunately i have 3 boxes of ohs to make up for the lack of frozen frappuccino.

you know, the best song cover EVER is five's version of we will rock you. it is the coolest. take my word for it and download it. five was so underrated. they were better than all the other boybands with the extreme exception of the backstreet boys and possibly the new no authority. too bad both five and no authority broke up.

i made pumpkin bread saturday. it was really good and i wish there was more. yummm to pumpkin bread. maybe i should go buy some more mix. it'd be something to do. ;)

My opinion on movies is bizarre and fascinating given my current taste. I continue to talk about Ohs, a severely underrated cereal, quite regularly in this blog. Do yourself a favor and get some Ohs.

i just got back from the dance. it wasn't all that thrilling. there weren't enough people there. plus they really need to find a DJ who doesn't play early '90s dance music. that was ALL he played with the exception of maybe 2 songs. he did that at the last dance too. but we won the basketball game, i hear. good times.

tomorrow i have to go twirl @ 2. shouldn't take too long though, alaina and i just have to make up like 5 counts of 8.

today i fell down my stairs...it happens to me a lot, we have steep stairs...and i rammed my foot into the wall and hurt my toes. they are still in pain. but i will live.

i'm really bored because i'm hyperactive from the dance but i don't have any way to channel my energies. no one is online to talk to...everyone in my house is sleeping...borrrrrring! i dunno WHAT to do. maybe i should just attempt to settle down. easier said than done. i'll probably be online doing nothing all night. i seriously don't know how i manage to entertain myself. sometimes i can't find anything to do on the computer but other times i can sit all day doing pointless things. whatever works. hmm. okay then. well, i'm off.

i looked up crossroads on imdb and it says "if you liked this movie, imdb recommends: the virgin suicides." hey, i like the virgin suicides. it's one of my favorites! i just don't think it can be much like the britney spears movie. the britney spears movie looks more like coyote ugly or something. whatever.

okay we're supposed to have props for our spanish skit tomorrow. it's really dumb...okay, my partner is mike and we have to pretend we're looking for a roommate at the university of quito and we have to talk about our daily habits and stuff, using vocab from the chapter we're on. it's sooo stupid. the props thing, anyway. the actually storyline is slightly amusing. mike: "these must be some co-ed dorms, huh?"

today in sales we got to make a POSTER. hehe. i got glue all over myself. sometimes i get carried away. i'm rather bored, but i don't want to go to bed yet. i need to edit the settings on blogger. i think i'll go do that.

hey hey. i just got back from school. a lovely gym class where i walked in circles. i have a little homework, believe it or not. this nasty spanish assignment that makes no sense. spanish is easy, except when they give you crazy impossible assignments. i don't like that.

i have nothing to do tonight. 7th heaven is a rerun so i just have friends to watch.

kelsey says there's a dance on friday. didn't know that. i don't know if i'll go or not. i want to see ocean's 11, but i could wait until saturday or sunday. OR i could not go to the basketball game, go to the 7 movie and be done in time for the dance. eh, i'll figure it out later.

i remembered to buy lord of the flies today. yay for me! maybe i could be all motivated and read it before we start doing anything with it in class. that would be something i would only do if i was bored out of my mind. which does happen every once in awhile.

today in yearbook laura and i got to call information like 200 times and then call all the local photographers and tell them that we need the senior headshots by december 14th and blah blah blah. good times. it took an amazingly long time, all things considered. and we're not done.

ouch. my right shoulder hurts. *sigh* oh well. i'll get over it. maybe i'll go upstairs and uh do my spanish.

oh my. okay my mom says "i want us to be done shopping by noon." we got home from des moines at like 6:30. just a little behind schedule.

i got some happy things though. some cute clothes, a new coat...i got a book too. it's got a good story but the author writes like a 40-year-old who's trying to be 16. which she probably is. it bothers me. but other than that it's all good.

i'm attempting to download a few songs this morning. i'm upset, the weekend seems so short. :( i can't wait until the end of the month when we have winter break.

i need to rent edward scissorhands next week. that's a great movie. and, for those of you uneducated in this area, nick from the backstreet boys is in it. he doesn't actually talk, but he's in it!

in my book there's this "dreg" who wears backstreet boys shirts to make a statement. cuz like, no one would give him a second glance if he wore marilyn manson goth stuff but wearing a backstreet boys shirt gets everyone's attention.

i was at border's yesterday and i became upset because they reissued a walk to remember with mandy moore and shane west on the cover. ya know, for the movie. *sigh* oh well, it's just a cover. the rest of the book is the same. lol.

ooh, ocean's eleven comes out this weekend meaning i might actually have something to do. yay. that's always exciting. i guess i'll go sit around for awhile.

I still read YA and I still dislike when middle-aged authors try too hard to sound 16 and totally miss the mark. I did eventually get the paperback of A Walk to Remember with Mandy Moore on the cover, though...in case you were worried.

i am extremely glad that tomorrow is friday. i don't exactly have big plans for the weekend or anything but still, it's better than school. i think my mom wants to go shopping saturday. that could be interesting. laura is testing for her brown belt this weekend. yay laura!

speaking of, the drill team has state tomorrow (AT VETS AUDITORIUM! -- see below) so they're all going to be gone all day. that's not fun. ooh, i got 100% on my spanish test. be proud of me, that was not the easiest test ever.

FYI - y'all know about ozzy ozbourne biting the head off a live bat? today i learned he did that at vets auditorium. vets is in des moines. i saw nsync there (ack) and 98 degrees and um sometimes when our basketball team is cool enough i get to go watch them play at vets for state. what am i talking about? god i need to shut up.

The NSYNC disdain is a recurring theme. While I generally liked them, I much preferred the Backstreet Boys and didn't like everyone talking about NSYNC constantly. I am still obsessed with the Backstreet Boys so I stand by 16-year-old me on the NSYNC issue.

apparently it is. okay. so today i said to myself "i want a blog." so i got one. yay. so any updates will be posted in blogs and the *wonderful* coming up section is now located under ME on the menu below. i'm sure you all were extremely concerned about that. so anyway. i'm off. for the moment. but i will be back. soon. i'm bored.

I will be back VERY soon, in fact. I had a tendency to update several times a day, usually within the same hour or so.

Explanation.

When I was a teenager, starting circa 2001, I had a personal website with an accompanying blog.

Somehow, through the magic of technology, this blog lived in Blogger for years after I stopped using it, and also ended up tied to my gmail account. As a result, I am now able to read my blog posts from 15 years ago. They are not, however, published. Yet.

Reading the old posts is simultaneously horribly embarrassing and tremendously amusing. Like most things of this nature, I probably find it far more engaging than anyone else would, but I thought it would be fun to gradually repost my teenage musings, both for the sake of my own nostalgia and for the chance that one of these super dated blog posts resonates with someone else who can relate to being a teenager in the early 00s.

Blog subjects will include the original post date and time, and I will likely include a brief line of commentary or explanation.
