it's freezing in my house. brrr. anyway...i got back from school awhile ago...both my tests were on the easy side so that's good. now i'm just hanging out all day until laura gets off work @ 9. we're going to watch my tape of josh on letterman and then go to the dance. i'm really hoping they got a different DJ than the one they've been using this year, he's terrible. TERRIBLE, i say! all he plays is really bad early 90s dance music that i've been sick of since 7th grade, like cotton-eyed joe and stuff. and that's, like, the BEST of the songs he plays.
there's a pretty big game tonight i guess...our cool basketball team is undefeated (hey, they have to be good at something) so there are usually huge crowds. that means high attendance at the dance afterward. which is good, more people make it more fun.
oh my what am i going to do today? ooh there's this huuuge spread on black hawk down on the front of the iowa life or whatever it's called section of the des moines register. it has all sorts of fun stuff and a lovely five-star review. i'm excited!
my mom is in iowa city today...i think iowa city anyway...well, wherever she is she's staying overnight and when she gets back tomorrow we're gonna go have some chinese food. yum! :) and after that laura and i are heading off to the matinee of black hawk down. good times. i hope it's in town! LOL i should probably check and be sure. it sure as heck should be. if not i guess we can go to ames. alright why is the movie theater website so slow?! oh, there we go. let's see...YAY it's here! :) 1:00 and 4:10??? boo. that means we'll have to go at 4:10 since i won't get back from lunch with my mom in time to go at 1.
since i'm speedy and i got done with both my tests today before the testing time was over i read like 100 pages of the hobbit. it's getting better. you really have to get into it. i mean, i liked the beginning but it wasn't like suspenseful or anything so i didn't have any reason to pick it up and read more. but like i said...getting better. i think i'll do a review of the a walk to remember soundtrack, post it, then go find something interesting to do. look for a review of black hawk down tomorrow.
